Greetings! and welcome to my blog - my adventure part two begins here. After a year working in Oz, a quick stop home before I packed my bags and left for India in March 2012 to meet up with one of my super accountants. A trip on the transiberian to follow will bring me to Beijing to spend a month in China, enroute back to Melbourne.

Previously... Leaving from Cork in August 2010, my first stop is Buenos Aires to become super fluent in Spanish before travelling up through South America. I'll be posting photos and information along the way and hopefully the accountants will have something to say too!

After nursing our insect bites (which involved burning a tick off Kieran’s leg with a lighter) in Santa Marta, we headed to Palomino, a beautiful beach close to the border of Venezuela. We stayed in a grass covered cabana, which had a loft type thing filled with matresses. Although the first afternoon, it bucketed, and we spent ALOT of time playing 45 and ace to kings, the next morning it was beautiful weather and the water was actually warm at nine in the morning! We spent the day swimming and sunbathing before I said goodbye to the boys and got the bus back to Santa Marta.

The next morning I took a flight to Popoyan, via Bogota, which is about 8 hours from the Ecuadorian border. I didnt do much as it was raining heavily when I got there so I just strolled around for the afternoon and prepared to get up at five the next morning.

    Eleven Sleeps

Auto Date Monday, August 2nd, 2010

So there’s eleven sleeps to go before we head off. I’ve brought all my stuff down from Dublin so I have to sort through it all and put it into those vacuum suction bags.

I’ve finished most of my work, PHEW! I’m just putting the finishing touches to my portfolio site and meeting the clients to give them handovers but I should be done soon. SO much still to organise and I need to start thinking about packing :( It’s only 8 degrees today in BA so a summer wardrobe will not do!
